# nrpe-bird ## Description Collection of scripts used to monitor bird sessions and route limits For bird2, just use -4 for either IPv4 and IPv6. ## Configuration ``` bash ln -s $(pwd)/check_bird2_oneshot /usr/local/lib64/nagios/plugins/check_bird2_oneshot ``` `/etc/sudoers`: ``` nagios ALL=(ALL) NOPASSWD: /usr/bin/birdc ``` `/etc/nagios/nrpe.cfg`: ``` command[check_bird2_oneshot]=/usr/local/lib64/nagios/plugins/check_bird2_oneshot -s ``` If you need to ignore some protocols, put them in `/usr/local/etc/nrpe-bird/ignore.cfg`, one per line, e.g.: ``` bfd1 bgp_nlnogringlg01_ipv4 bgp_nlnogringlg01_ipv6 device1 direct1 kernel_ipv4 kernel_ipv6 static_alarig_allocations_ipv4 static_alarig_allocations_ipv6 ```
